In a related development, PIA is also preparing to resume direct flights to the United Kingdom (UK). The airline has begun arrangements to use Terminal 4 at London’s Heathrow Airport once operations are reinstated. The UK’s Department for Transport (DFT) is currently conducting an audit of Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), and PIA management remains hopeful that the ban on its UK flights will soon be lifted.
Once approved, PIA plans to restart direct flights from Islamabad to Manchester and London, utilizing its Boeing 777 fleet. |
