| Lahore: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved a total of seven development schemes worth over PKR 17 billion, including major infrastructure and public service projects across Punjab.
The approvals were granted in two separate PDWP meetings—the 65th and 67th—chaired by Planning and Development (P&D) Board Chairman Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan. The meetings were attended by Secretary P&D Board Dr. Asif Tufail, Chief Economist Masood Anwar, members of the P&D Board, and other senior officials.

In the latest session, five development schemes worth over PKR 12 billion were approved, including:
Reconstruction/Rehabilitation of GT Road from Quaid-i-Azam Interchange (Lahore Ring Road) to Wagah Border, Lahore – PKR 6.946 billion
Revamping of Lahore Zoo – PKR 2.039 billion
Construction of Inter-Provincial Joint Check Posts (IPJCP) at:
Attock Khurd, District Attock – PKR 1.009 billion
Dajal, District Bhakkar – PKR 1.188 billion
Ghazi Ghat, District Dera Ghazi Khan – PKR 885.124 million

Meanwhile, in the 65th meeting held on February 20, two additional schemes were approved at a total cost of PKR 5.17 billion, including:
Rainwater Management and Drainage for Sore Points at Nishtar Park Sports Complex (Qaddafi Stadium), Lahore – PKR 2.031 billion
Replacement of Outlived Sewer in Multan (Phase II)
