Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has approached the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to collaborate on key urban initiatives in Islamabad, according to a news article on December 22.

As per the details, these projects focus on addressing water management, promoting eco-friendly transportation, and improving urban infrastructure. CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa highlighted critical water challenges, including supply inefficiencies and leakage. Proposed measures include modernising the water system, adjusting tariffs, and creating the Islamabad Water Agency to attract global investments for sustainable solutions.

Other initiatives discussed included bicycle tracks, and a pilot project set for Margalla Road to connect major areas like Diplomatic Enclave and F-9 Park, ensuring green belt preservation.
