Islamabad: British Deputy High Commissioner Matt Cannell met with Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa on Tuesday to discuss opportunities for enhanced collaboration between the UK and Islamabad. During the meeting, Chairman Randhawa highlighted Islamabad’s commitment to fostering partnerships in key sectors, including education, healthcare, climate change, and sustainable urban development. He also emphasized strengthening social initiatives to support underprivileged communities and enhancing people-to-people connections. Mr. Cannell praised Islamabad’s natural beauty and its progress towards modernization. He reiterated the UK’s commitment to sharing expertise through knowledge-sharing and capacity-building programs, as well as fostering cultural exchanges to deepen bilateral ties.
