Officials reported that 30% of the work has been completed, including the installation of 151 out of 212 pre-cast girders. CM Shah instructed Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani to oversee the project closely and ensure its timely delivery. A new roundabout is also being developed at Meena Bazaar and Bazaar Faisal to improve traffic flow. The underpass, initiated by the Karachi Development Authority (KDA), forms part of the Sindh government’s broader urban development initiative. The PKR 6.4 billion Korangi Causeway Bridge spans 1,385 metres and features additional loops and ramps extending 2.5 kilometres. Progress reports revealed that 504 out of 600 girders and 300 out of 400 piles have been completed. However, only 30% of the project has been finalized so far. CM Shah urged project directors to accelerate construction to meet the set timelines.
