Karachi: Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has issued a directive to expedite the completion of the Red Line BRT project ahead of schedule, as reported on October 15. Minister Memon called for heightened efforts to ensure the public transport project is completed before the established deadline, addressing the pressing need for a reliable and sustainable transport solution to alleviate traffic congestion for millions of Karachi residents. In a recent meeting with the Transport Department and relevant stakeholders, Minister Memon reviewed the progress of the Red Line BRT project. Attendees included Secretary Transport Asad Zamin, CEO of Trans Karachi Shumaila Mohsin, international consultants, contractors, and other officials. They provided updates on the ongoing work and discussed the current status of development on Lot 1 and Lot 2 of the project.
