Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur has inaugurated a low-cost housing project in Jalozai, District Nowshera, as reported by a news source on October 17.

According to the details, this initiative falls under the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) and it spans over 150 kanals, designed to provide affordable residential facilities to low-income groups. The project, projected at an estimated cost of. PKR 3.3 billion, will consist of 1,320 apartments, each covering 780 square feet.
It targets individuals earning less than PKR 50,000 per month, a criterion NADRA and the Naya Pakistan Housing Authority (NPHA) verified. To ensure affordability, each apartment is subsidized by PKR 300,000 from the Federal Government and PKR 400,000 from the provincial government.
In the first phase, 116 apartments were allocated, while construction on the remaining units was ongoing. The project aims to bridge the housing gap for lower and middle-income families, offering an opportunity for homeownership at subsidised rates.

During the visit, CM Gandapur also inaugurated a sports complex within the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Housing Scheme, completed for PKR 17 million. The complex features a squash court, futsal ground, artificial tennis and basketball courts, and a 500-metre jogging track. Additionally, a central park spans 42 kanals, with 8 kanals reserved for sports facilities. |
