Work in progress to convert Faisalabad’s Gutwala Breeding Centre into a Zoo

Faisalabad:Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, during her recent visit to Faisalabad, announced renewed plans to transform the Gatwala Wildlife Breeding Centre into a zoo. A feasibility study is currently underway, as reported on October 11. The required feasibility assessments and paperwork are being finalized to ensure the smooth execution of the project. Faisalabad residents remain hopeful that this time the zoo will become a reality, providing an affordable recreational space for families and the local community. The proposed zoo is expected to play an important role in promoting wildlife education and conservation while enhancing the city’s leisure facilities.
