KP revenue collection surges with 41% Increase

Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has reported an impressive 41% increase in revenue collection during the first quarter of the fiscal year, as stated by Finance Advisor Muzzammil Aslam on October 4. Read: ADB approves grant to upgrade 900 km of flood-affected KP roads As per details, the Finance advisor announced that the KP Revenue Authority gathered PKR 10.82 billion during this period, a notable rise from PKR 7.69 billion collected in the same three-month span last year. He further emphasized that this remarkable growth rate surpasses the Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) reported 25% increase for the same timeframe. In light of these figures, Aslam expressed interest in comparing KP’s tax collection performance with that of Punjab and Sindh, highlighting the importance of regional fiscal performance analysis. This strong performance in revenue collection reflects the province’s effective tax policies and strategies aimed at enhancing fiscal stability and supporting public services.
