Karachi: The Sindh government has relocated all intercity bus stands in Karachi to the Super Highway bus terminal, according to an announcement on September 12.

According to the details, measures were taken against 267 bus terminals operating without authorization, with 35 buses temporarily held for non-compliance. These were later released after bus owners agreed to follow the new rules. Officials have emphasised that continued violations could result in the cancellation of route permits.
The update was shared during a meeting led by Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi alongside key officials from the Transport Department and Traffic Police.

It was also confirmed that bus stands in areas such as Saddar, MA Jinnah Road, Cantt Station, and Qayyumabad have been closed, with a free shuttle service now available to transport passengers to the Super Highway terminal. |
