Islamabad: The Pakistani Government has set aside PKR 78 billion for development projects in Sindh under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for this fiscal year, reported a news source on September 2.

The PSDP report shows PKR 1.14 billion was disbursed in the first two months. Among the key projects, PKR 1 billion is designated for the Sindh Coastal Highway and PKR 1.6 billion for the Stone Pitching Northern Dadu Canal.
In a related development, the Sindh government has approved the construction of an expressway connecting the Karachi Port Terminal to Jam Sadiq Bridge. This decision was made during a Public Private Partnership (PPP) Board meeting led by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. The 12.5-kilometer expressway, which will link to the Malir Expressway, will be built through a PPP arrangement in coordination with the local government and the PPP unit.
