Rawalpindi: In response to directives from the Punjab government, the district administration in Murree has taken decisive action against illegal constructions, as reported by a local news source. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s instructions prompted this operation, overseen by Deputy Commissioner Murree, Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi. Commissioner Rawalpindi, Aamer Khattak, directed the formation of three teams to execute this operation, each headed by key officials including Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue, retired Captain Qasim Ijaz, Assistant Commissioner, retired Captain Abdul Wahab Khan, and the DFO Murree. Furthermore, efforts to combat artificial price inflation are underway, with price magistrates instructed to monitor markets closely and take legal action against offenders. Additionally, hotels and restaurants are subject to daily inspections to ensure compliance with pricing regulations set by the administration.
