Japan commits USD 9.8M for PAK initiatives

Islamabad: The Government of Japan has decided to allocate an additional USD 9.8 million in grants for two projects in Pakistan, as reported by a news source on April 5. Read: Sindh CM, Japanese Ambassador review JICA Projects According to the details, the projects include the installation of a weather surveillance radar in Sukkur City and the extension of maternal and child health care facilities in Sindh. The aim is to enhance meteorological capabilities and medical services in the region. The signing ceremony for these projects took place between representatives from Pakistan’s Economic Affairs Division and Japan’s Ambassador to Pakistan. The projects will be implemented through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
