| LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Thursday continued operation against land grabbers, illegal buildings in the provincial metropolis.
LDA Private Housing Directorate staff foiled the attempt to encroach park site measuring two kanals in a private housing scheme. Director Private Housing Schemes Asad Ullah Cheema supervised the operation which was carried out with the help of Police and heavy machinery.

LDA Town Planning Wing teams demolished and sealed more than a dozen illegal buildings in Gulberg, Faisal Town, Peco Road and Model Town Extension. Chief Town Planner-I Sidra Tabasam supervised the operation which was carried out by enforcement team with the help of Police and heavy machinery.
As per the LDA officials, several notices were served to owners of these buildings before carrying out the operation. LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed continuing indiscriminate operation against land grabbers, encroachments and violation of building and parking bylaws in Lahore.
