LDA completes sports complex

LAHORE:Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has completed construction of a state-of-the-art sports complex in Tajpura. The complex will provide sports facilities like Gulberg and Defence. Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated the Tajpura Sports Complex on Thursday, which was delayed for the last seven years. The CM inspected the gym, badminton indoor hall, snooker room, table tennis hall, swimming pool, ladies gym and snooker room and lauded the steps being taken for the provision of latest machines for doing exercise in the gym. He appreciated Commissioner Lahore/ DG LDA and his team for the provision of excellent sports facilities in the sports complex. He apprised that work on the project had been launched in 2017 but unfortunately the project remained delayed for the last seven years. More than 20 indoor sports for male, female and families have been provided in the sports complex being built on 12 kanals of land. In reply to a question, the CM stated that by the Grace of Allah Almighty, Pakistan Army has given a befitting reply to the Iran’s aggression. If any country thinks evil about Pakistan it will be paid in the same coin. Replying another question, he said the Chinese environment specialists would be provided additional data about smog and further research would be conducted in this regard and first Anti-Smog Tower will be installed in 15-20 days. He said continuous monitoring of Bund Road Project was being undertaken and Housing Minister Azfar Ali Nasir and DG LDA spent most of their time on the site. He added that Imamia Colony Flyover will be opened by 5th February.
