Islamabad: Federal Minister for National Heritage & Culture Jamal Shah laid the foundation stone for the conservation, preservation, and development project for Islamabad’s historical ‘Shah Allah Ditta Caves’, according to news published in the leading newspaper on January 1.

Accompanying the minister at the event were Federal Secretary of National Heritage and Culture Division Humaira Ahmed, Director General (DG) of the Department of Archaeology & Museums (DOAM) Dr Abdul Azeem, and several other senior officials.
During the ceremony, Minister Jamal Shah highlighted that the DOAM Islamabad had officially designated the Shah Allah Ditta Caves site as a ‘Protected Antiquity’ under the Antiquities Act of 1975. The National Heritage & Culture Division has initiated comprehensive efforts for the conservation, preservation, restoration, and development of the caves in the ongoing fiscal year.
