Green Hydrogen Project gets Naqvi’s nod; initiative to create 10,000 jobs in Punjab

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Mohsin Naqvi has granted in-principle approval for the green hydrogen project, urging officials to formulate a comprehensive plan for its implementation in the province, as per the news source on December 15. The attendees evaluated the project as a crucial alternative energy source for the region. The CM underscored the importance of hydrogen as a future alternative energy, emphasizing its environmental friendliness. The presentation highlighted the advanced technology involved in electrolyzing water to separate oxygen and hydrogen. The project is anticipated to save US$38 million in foreign exchange for Punjab and create job opportunities for 8,000 to 10,000 individuals. Adequate land and water supply will be facilitated for the inaugural green hydrogen project in Punjab.
