Senate Committee urges swift completion of FGEHA housing projects

Islamabad: The Standing Committee on Housing and Construction has issued a directive to the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA), urging the expeditious completion of housing projects designated for government employees, as claimed by a source on November 29. Despite a 34% booking in Chaklala Heights Apartments, work had to be halted. The DG emphasized that new contracts would be awarded based on current rates. Senator Afnanullah Khan expressed concern over the delayed commencement of the project, emphasizing that prior assurances had been given to the committee regarding its timely initiation.
