PDWP greenlights significant development projects

Lahore: The Punjab Development Working Party (PDWP) has granted approval to four significant development schemes, encompassing public buildings, road networks, and bridge constructions, a news source reported on October 25. Read: Affectees of private housing society to get reimbursed soon As per the details, the estimated budget for these projects stands at PKR 3,965.796 million. The meeting, presided over by Punjab Planning and Development (P&D) Board Chairman Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, approved projects include the rehabilitation of a 28-kilometre road connecting Nankana Sahib to Shahkot, with an estimated cost of PKR 2,240.099 million. During the meeting, the establishment of model e-registration offices at divisional headquarters in Punjab, with an allocated budget of PKR 603.98 million was also approved. Read: SHC orders removal of land encroachments from housing society Additionally, the PDWP has given the green light to the revamping of Arazi Record Centers (ARCS) across Punjab, involving an investment of PKR 757.887 million. Furthermore, the revamping of sub-registrar’s offices at divisional district headquarters in Punjab, with a financial allocation of PKR 363.830 million, was also approved.
