Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has inaugurated two reverse osmosis (RO) plants outside Qari Khushi Mohammad Park and the Education Complex on Murree Road, according to news published on October 18. As per the details shared, the initiative is aimed at providing clean drinking water to the residents.

Rawalpindi Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chatta unveiled the RO plants, which were established through a partnership between the RDA and the Saylani Welfare International Trust. Previously, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the two organizations to install RO plants at various locations in Rawalpindi. The installation of these RO plants cost approximately PKR 1.4 million, and the project was completed within two months.
During the inauguration, the commissioner emphasized the importance of using water judiciously, considering it a blessing from Allah. He urged the public to avoid wasting water and commended the Saylani Welfare Trust for its commitment to installing more water filtration plants.
