RUDA steps up to tackle smog, transform Lahore’s landscape

Lahore: Ravi Urban Development Authority (RUDA) CEO Imran Amin personally inspected the industrial zone to assess the impending smog season and review the measures taken to counter its growth, reported a news source on October 13. These measures included a comprehensive assessment of industries, leading to the implementation of vital guidelines. Among the crucial steps was the prohibition of stubble burning, restrictions on open utility carts and trucks, dust separation methods such as sprinkling, and bans on burning carbon slugs, tyres, and other industrial furnace emissions.
