Deadline set for completion of uplift projects in RWP division

Rawalpindi: The Divisional Development Working Party (DDWP) has directed the administrations of Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Murree, Talagang, and Jhelum districts to ensure the completion of new uplift projects within a two-year timeframe, according to news published on August 25. During the meeting, the DDWP greenlit revised project costs across various sectors including the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), healthcare, and special education. Moreover, Chatha emphasized the imperative of adhering to the stipulated timelines for project finalization, while underscoring the non-negotiable aspect of maintaining construction quality. He urged for prudent utilization of allocated funds without compromising on the work’s integrity. This scheme aims to streamline rural property records. WASA Managing Director Tanveer Ahmed, Rawalpindi Highway Superintendent Engineer Shahid Butt, and heads of other pertinent government departments participated in the meeting. The meeting saw the presence of deputy commissioners from Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, and Chakwal through a video link. An official from the Rawalpindi commissioner’s office provided an overview of ongoing uplift projects.
