Karachi Mayor, Netherlands Envoy discuss collaborative development

Karachi: Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab recently had a meeting with the Netherlands Ambassador Henny Fokel de Vries at the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation head office, according to the news on August 3. During the meeting, both parties focused on matters of mutual interest and ways to strengthen the relationship between the two countries. Mayor Wahab warmly welcomed the ambassador and acknowledged the positive evolution of Pakistan-Netherlands ties over the years. In the wake of recent developments, Mayor Wahab also highlighted positive societal changes in Karachi, including the reservation of seats for disabled and transgender individuals in the City Council. This measure ensures fair representation for all segments of the population in civic affairs, promoting inclusivity and diversity.
