Govt will try to make business-friendly budget: Dar

Islamabad: Finance Minister (FM) Ishaq Dar has assured the Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) that the government will try to make a business-friendly budget for the economic progress and development of the country, a news source reported on May 29. Read: ABAD urges govt to withdraw duties on steel scrap An ABAD delegation called on FM Dar at the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to discuss proposals for budget 2023-2024. The telephonic meeting was attended by Special Adviser to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Revenue Tariq Mehmood Pasha, FBR Chairman Asim Ahmad, Reforms and Revenue Mobilisation Commission (RRMC) Chairman Ashfaq Yousif Tola, and senior officers of FBR. The delegation assured support to the government for its efforts in overcoming the economic challenges. The finance minister appreciated the proposals submitted by ABAD and assured that the government is taking measures to resolve their concerns.
