CDA mulls setting up City Business District along Margalla Avenue

Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is considering setting up a City Business District along the newly-constructed Margalla Avenue, according to news published on May 6. The proposed business centre will be set up in Zone 1 of the avenue. Read: CDA proposes to construct a road in Margalla Hills According to a member of the Planning Wing, the civic agency is considering setting up a business centre and the plan was shared with the CDA board in a meeting. Reportedly, the CDA has 1,500 to 1,000 kanals of land in the mentioned area, mostly in Sector C-16. This area will be developed for mixed-use projects, mainly apartments. It was mentioned that the authority will offer apartments to overseas Pakistanis as well. The CDA is considering only hiring government-owned consultant firms for this purpose. The city already has a city business district, known as Blue Area, and if this plan is approved, it will become the second business district of Islamabad
