| ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) recorded statements of several officials of Capital Development Authority (CDA) in connection with allegations regarding irregularities and illegalities committed during allotment of additional storeys of a commercial building in G-9.
A source in CDA said several officials of CDA got their statement registered before FIA.
“On notice, recently I went to FIA for recording my statement,” said an officer of the civic agency, adding that 11 former and current officers had been directed by FIA to record their statements in connection with a case of additional storeys in a building in Karachi Company. “I guess, several other officers also went there to record their statements,” he said.
Earlier, FIA’s inspector issued the said notice: “I, Inspector … FIA Corporate Crime Circle Islamabad … is engaged in conducting an investigation of Case FIR 04-2021 registered at FIA Islamabad against the officers/officials of CDA based on the allegations regarding irregularities & illegalities committed while allotment of additional storeys of Plot No 14-A G-9 Markaz Islamabad.”
The letter, which was addressed to director (human resource) CDA, further said: “In order to probe further in the instant case, it is hereby requested to bound following officers/ officials of CDA to visit this office and appear before the undersigned in light of available record and information, provided their statements will be recorded accordingly,” it added.
