Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority Development Working Party (CDA-DWP) on Monday (February 13) decided to start work on the expansion of Srinagar Highway and Jinnah Avenue for better traffic management, news sources reported.

Several development projects were approved during the meeting, including the hiring of consultants to prepare a feasibility report and design for the expansion of the Srinagar Highway from the 7th Avenue Interchange to Serena Chowk. The project, which costs PKR 8.5 million and is expected to be completed in two months, will feature an underpass to address traffic congestion and cyclist tracks on either side of the road. Moreover, PKR 482.6 million were approved for Jinnah Avenue expansion, which involves widening the road at the G-9/F-9 section by adding two more lanes and a cyclist track.

In addition to this, the following projects were also approved:
PKR 10 million have been approved for the consultancy service for feasibility and engineering design for the construction of the National Bus Terminal to be built in sector I-11
PKR 52 million is approved for the PC-I for the provision of security gates at various places in the Red Zone |
