ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Noorul Amin Mengal on Wednesday suggested various steps to improve working of Citizens Facilitation Centre.
During his visit to the centre, he pointed out many issues being faced by citizens in getting their properties transferred. He also ordered separate counters for senior citizens and overseas Pakistanis.
The Citizens Facilitation Centre has been set up in sector G-7 near Blue Area.
Speaking to Dawn, the CDA Chairman said he would be available at the Centre once a week
He said he wanted to have a small office over there “to ensure service delivery without any trouble.”
He said he directed the officials concerned to resolve issues of public on priority.
“No negligence will be tolerated,” he said and added that there was also complaints of shortage of staff at the centre and the wing concernedhad been directed to provide required staff immediately.
The facilitation centre used to was operate in CDA headquarters buildings. However, last year, it was shifted to newly built buildings in G-7 near Blue Area, where various wings of the CDA like Building Control, Revenue Department, One Window Operation etc were also shifted.
Meanwhile, Mr Mengal also chaired a meeting of estate wing, directing the member estate and others to do work with timeline and resolves genuine public issues.
