| RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Tuesday demolished one illegal under-construction commercial building on Defence road Rawalpindi near Fazil Street.
According to statement, RDA Enforcement Squad visited the site and demolished the under construction plaza as the owner failed to produce approved building plan.
The owners was illegally constructing commercial building without No-Objection Certificate (NOC), plan and map hence violated the Punjab Development of Cities Act 1976 and RDA Building and Zoning Regulations 2021.
The statement said that the provincial government had directed the RDA to take strict action against encroachments, illegal and unauthorised constructions and commercial activities without any fear and favour.
RDA will conduct a survey regarding fees and charges for approval of illegal residential and commercial buildings, commercialisation, complementary maps, plans of buildings and regularise all illegal residential cum commercial buildings in controlled area of RDA.
