The 3.4-kilometre road will require an adjustment to the CDA master plan, which will be approved by the federal government. This realignment involves linking the 33-kilometre Margalla Avenue with the GT Road (N-5) and the Islamabad-Peshawar (M-1) Motorway and will have a 150-foot wide right of way. It is worth noting that the 1.6-kilometre section of the road falls within the limits of Islamabad, while the remaining 1.8-kilometre section falls within the Rawalpindi division. The National Highway Authority (NHA) will acquire the land for the project after conducting a survey and gaining approval from the federal government.
