Surizai Housing Scheme’s land issues resolved

Peshawar: The land issues impeding the launch of the Surizai Housing Scheme (SHS) have been resolved on Wednesday (February 1) after the elders of Surizai and Tilaband reached an accord, a news source reported. Read: Authorities directed to expedite work on housing projects across KP As per the details shared, a jirga encompassing the elders of Surizai and Tilaband – which was presided over by Peshawar Commissioner Riaz Mehsud – outlined a plan to address all the issues that have hindered the development of the Surezai Housing Scheme. According to the new plan, the elders have agreed to voluntarily transfer 1,450-kanal land to the provincial government and the government will appoint locals to all Class-IV positions, which will be advertised for the housing plans.
