Islamabad: Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari has urged Capital Development Authority (CDA) to prioritise the development of Sector G-9 Markaz for enhanced business opportunities, news sources reported on January 18.

The president asked the civic agency to start the rehabilitation of roads, the construction of a parking plaza, the repair of footpaths, the installation of a filtration plant, and the restoration of streetlights. Ahsan highlighted that the G-9 Markaz, one of the significant markets in Islamabad, is home to many prominent businesses creating jobs for many people. He said the CDA should also focus on the replacement of the 40-year-old sewage system in the area which is not enough to cope with the burden of the increasing population.

It is important to note that the G-9 market is one of the biggest markets after the Blue Area. recently CDA announced a comprehensive zoning plan for the city regularising land in the city and designation of the specific residential and commercial areas. |
