Housing scheme told to stop balloting
RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Tuesday asked owner of a housing scheme to stop advertisements and balloting of plots. According to a press release, the civic body alleged that the balloting was illegal and unauthorised. The housing scheme owner had invited applications from people for registration of memberships/ sale of plots in the scheme. As the scheme has not been approved by RDA, therefore, the status of the scheme is illegal. RDA has warned all owners that without getting the requisite approval from RDA for launching housing schemes, apartment projects, commercial buildings, etc., within the controlled area of RDA, all sorts of advertisement, marketing and development of such projects through advertisement agencies, private companies, civil proprietorships, etc., is illegal. Therefore, the press release said, RDA advises people not to invest in the scheme as its status is illegal. Moreover, the owners and sponsors of ‘Faisal Hill’ are also warned to immediately stop marketing of their unapproved and illegal housing scheme and should contact RDA to get approval.
