Anti-encroachment drive in high swing in Peshawar
Peshawar: Earlier in January 2018, district administration in Peshawar started its anti-encroachment drive, according to a news source. Sources state that this has come as a welcome move owing to the traffic congestion. The illegal constructions have also thwarted work on the Bus Rapid Transit project which is to pass throughout Peshawar. In conjunction to this, Nowshera Cantonment Board has also launched its anti-encroachment drive to clear roads for smooth flow of traffic. In another news story it was revealed that by 25th, January, 2018 forty illegally constructed shops, houses, and markets were demolished by the district administration, as a part of this drive.
